Following the very successful Accessible Design in the Digital World Conference in Dundee in August 2005, we are pleased to announce Accessible Design in the Digital World '08, to be held at the University of York in September 2008.
The conference will provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to discuss and debate the possibilities for accessibility and usability in the emerging world of Web 2.0, ubiquitous and pervasive technologies, and user experience.
Keynote speakers will include:
- Kevin Carey, HumanITy and Royal National Institute for the Blind
- Michael Paciello, The Paciello Group
- Graeme Whippy, Lloyds TSB
The call for participation has now closed.
We have had an excellent range of papers submitted which are currently under review.
A preliminary programme will be available in mid-May.
The Accessible Design in the Digital World conference was conceived by the University of Dundee's Digital Media Access Group, who hosted the first conference, which was held in Dundee in 2005.
